Final Grade Excavating & Construction is a local company based in Marriott-Slaterville, right next to Ogden, run by the guys who show up on your job, Kade and Jett. We handle the heavy work that a build starts and ends with: foundation and basement digs, utility installation and repair, demolition, land clearing, retaining and rock walls, and concrete. Excavation is the part nobody sees once the house is up, but it decides everything on top of it, so we take the dig, the base, and the grade seriously. We cut it to line and grade, compact it, and slope the finish grade so water runs away from your foundation instead of into it. Do you work for homeowners, builders, or both?
Both. We dig foundations and run the sitework for builders and general contractors, and we work directly with homeowners on driveways, backyards, drainage fixes, retaining walls, and land clearing. Same crew and same pricing either way.
Why does the grade and the base matter so much?
Because everything you build sits on it. A driveway, a slab, a foundation, or a wall is only as good as the dirt under it. If the base isn't compacted right or the finish grade sends water the wrong way, you get settling, cracking, and water where you don't want it. We get the part underneath right first, so the rest holds up.
