Why the base decides how concrete lasts
Concrete cracks and settles for one reason more than any other: a base that wasn't prepped right. A slab poured on soft or uncompacted ground has nothing to bear on, so it moves, and once it moves it cracks. Doing the excavation and the concrete with one crew fixes that at the source, because the ground gets dug, compacted, and graded to drain before we pour. No honest crew promises concrete will never crack, but we control it with a solid base, the right rebar and thickness, and joints where they belong.
